Reader Susan e-mailed me this recipe for a traditional meatloaf recipe in the crockpot -she calls it Magic Meatloaf. I had never heard of a crock pot meatloaf recipe, so I am pretty excited about this one. As you all know from all my crock pot recipes, I love making dinner in the crock pot.
Slow Cooker Traditional Meatloaf recipe
Now you have have your traditional meatloaf recipe even in the Summer months. No need to heat up your kitchen when you can can make your favorite meatloaf recipe in the crock pot!
If you don’t have a crock pot yet, here are some nice ones on sale. Most of my recipes are created in a 6 quart crock pot, but I love my 4 quart crock pot for small dishes. Now, if you work away from home, then I suggest you get a programmable crock pot so you can have it cook for the perfect amount of time.
Quaker Oats meatloaf
Ingredients you need:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup ketchup
How to make Crockpot Meatloaf Recipe:
- Reserve 2 tablespoons ketchup.
- In large bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, oats, soup mix and remaining ketchup. Shape into a loaf.
- Put in crock pot sprayed with non stick cook spray. Top with remaining ketchup.
- Cover; cook on low 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.

Yummy!! Love Meatloaf
This sounds delicious! Ive cooked meatloaf in the crockpot before, and it turns out beautifully! i usually slice up a onion or so (thick sliced), to line the bottom of the crock with tho, just so the meatloaf isnt sitting in the juice 🙂
We made this with ground turkey and it was delicious!
I cut this recipe in half. (only 2 people were going to be eating it) I cooked on LOW for 3.5 hours and it came out perfect! Will make again.
